Indecision

Me, indecisive?

Anyways, my bro is flying my sister and I up to New York to go see him, and because tickets are $300 each, he won't be getting me a guitar.

If you haven't guessed what my choices are, I'm deciding whether to stick with my Xbox 360 decision or get a new guitar. I mean, I always put off the 360, and regret it slightly, but I don't regret what I got instead.

Guitar is my favorite thing to do and my favorite way to praise God. Plus, it helps lead to any chance of being in a band. I way need a new guitar. The one I have is literally falling apart. The tuning nobs are jacked up, especially the one on the G-string (har har, G-string, get over it). I jacked up the pickups, though they work fine, they just don't look right. The pick-up switch was jacked up about 1 month after I got the guitar. The pick-ups can barely pick up pinch-harmonics, which is a key piece of composure in composing a metal song and a key part of any solo.

However, besides guitar, I have basically nothing to do. I don't wanna pay for an online game (though they're fun, it's a waste of money). Plus, with Xbox live, I can play with my bro and chat with him. Plus, it gives me more games to play when friends come over. However, video games pull me farther away from God, which isn't good at all.

Right now I'm leaning towards guitar, but only very slightly. Like, 50.5% for guitar and 49.5% for the 360.

The guitar I would aim for would either be...
B.C Rich Warlock NT
B.C. Rich Beast NT
(both of the above are only possible if Mom pitches in some of her 401K money, and she is paying for most of my sisters laptop which is $700 dollars, and I will have about $100 dollars saved up for whatever I get)
B.C. Rich Revenge Warlock (Onyx)
(above if Mom can't pitch in a lot)

The Xbox 360 I would aim for would be:
Resident Evil 5 Bundle (probably won't get it, still need money for games =)
Gears of War 2 Bundle

So which do you think I should go for? Please leave a detailed explanation.

Just talked to my mom on facebook, and she said she can cover the expensive guitar! Which means, if she can cover that, she can get the RE5 360!

On the one hand, you can get another bundle for your 360, or work out some deal with your dad.
On the other hand, this may be the only way you can get the guitar...
So, try and get the guitar first, and then RE5 bundle...
Remember, you mom wasn't part of buying the 360, only games and acessories.
So, if she gets the guitar, you can still probably get the epic bundle! Just help your dad with the money! lol

Lol my mom was part of the bundle! She was gonna put some in, my dad would put some in, I would put some in, then my mom would still get me a few games and stuff.

By the time my b-day comes around, I'll have about $100, then an additional $50 from Grandma to pitch in.

So let's run the scenario that I get the RE5 bundle:
The price might spike since there are so few of them new around (I would like to get new). So we'll say $550 (tax, shipping). My $150 helps cut it down to 400, my mom and dad would pay for the rest (idk if it would be 50/50, but if it's any higher my mom will most likely pay more lol). Then I would to get a second controller, halo 3, and fable 2. All adding up to another $105. So in total, it would hit $655.

B.C. Rich:
My mom covers all of it. I use my $150 to get a new case (coffin case most likely) then dad gets some other stuff lol.

B.C. Rich, though easier, would be more expensive. But listen to this (just came up with it while typing all this and didn't wanna erase both of these lol).

New Scenario; Gears of War 2 bundle and B.C. Rich:
Alright, so this works only if my mom covers all of the B.C. Rich. If she does, my dad would still have money for a big present (and only a big present), with my $150, I could help cut down the price of the Gears of War 2 bundle to $210, much cheaper than my amp I got for Christmas. Then, I might be able to get one moderately priced game and a cheap game, so I would probably aim to get Halo 3 and Gears of War (it dropped to $20)

Now I'm guessing you thought it was all over, huh? Well, it's not. If you could help me choose between the Beast and the Warlock that would be great.

I think I've finally come to a decision! It's a Christmas Miracle that was delayed just for my birthday!

Difference between Dark Arts and NT

- Dark Arts has the Fat Butt pickups, while the NT has the BDSM
- Dark Arts has different Fret Inlays (the dots)
- NT has the cooler headstock, but that doesn't matter much

The Fat Butt pickups seem to be more my style with the ability to keep sustaining the tone of bends and hammer-ons and what not, which is what I really want. Plus, these pickups are very unique and aren't in many of the B.C. Rich guitars, BDSM being the most popular.

Another upside is that there's a guitar shop nearby that sells these beauties for $600. So hopefully the price stays the same and they have it in stock on my birthday (or whenever my mom gets her 401k money).

sorry lol. The 360 is still being decided, but I can't think of anything else to get, plus it would be nice to have more than 1 good multi-player shooter. But for the most part, yes, you have it right.

Screw the B.C. Rich. Here's what I'm getting

It's most likely going to be in the Red Chameleon color. What's awesome about the color is that, depending on the angle the light is hitting it at, it changes color!

Plus, Kyle (that really amazing guitar dude), said he's been eyeing this guitar for a while, which means it's a great guitar lol. Plus, Ibanez has a WAY better, and larger, reputation than B.C. Rich.

I'm about to frickin cuss! I went to spend the night over at my friend Trentons house and guess what? He has a PS3...

I don't know why but now I'm drawn to it. Though the 360 has a bunch of exclusive titles, the PS3 is catching up, and it's even starting to look like Microsoft already has to milk it's biggest title (Halo). I'm not dissing it, just trying to make a point. You know I love halo. But think about it, two Halos already announced and a Halo movie?

One reason I want a PS3, however, is because of one of my favorite franchises: Kingdom Hearts. No release date has been announced, but it is being worked on.

The PS3's controllers are REALLY light, like, my cell phone is heavier than the controller. It doesn't need batteries AND it comes with the "Plug and Play" version for the PS3 controller.

Another upside: Blu-Ray.

So the undetailed pros and cons...
Pros:
1. Light controller
2. NO wired controllers
3. Some games use motion senses with are built into the controllers
4. PS3 is starting to catch up with Big-Hit titles
5. A few of the Big-Hits on 360 are on the PS3 (Assassins Creed, COD4, Rock Band 2, etc.)
6. No RRoD
7. Blu-Ray
8. COMPLETELY FREE internet

Cons:
1. Not as many good multiplayer games
2. Many reviews saying online play isn't nearly as good as Xbox Live
3. No Halo
4. No Fable
5. Kind of expensive
6. No GoW
7. Without Xbox live, I wouldn't be able to fight my bro in Halo

Have you heard of "Haze" yet? It looks pretty good, and it can have 4 players offline, and 16 players online.

thanks for the input, but Haze doesn't have multi-player death match. So basically, the multi-player games I want (C for co-op, MC for multi-player competitive, and S for single player only) are:

LittleBigPlanet (C/S)

If you decide to actually press the links, press LittleBigPlanet and Resistance: Fall of Man first. Those are the two games I'm starting with. Then click on Killzone 2. That game looks so FRICKIN' AWESOME!!!!!!

Never mind, after checking out some forums online, haze DOES have death match and team death-match, along with the ability to use bots! And Co-op, so I'm gonna do more research on that game now lol.

EDIT: After looking it up at GameSpot, it seems like a great game...until you look at the big picture...crappy AI, terrible voice acting, and the multi-player is supposed to be "uninspiring, unbalanced, and underwhelming" according to the GameSpot reviewer. The co-op is supposed to be ok, but it's still bad.
